Grinding of raw materials is a frequent and sometimes difficult task for a manufacturing enterprise. One of such tasks is the grinding of florasulam.
Often, bead mills, colloidal mills and other grinders are used for this task at production facilities, but, as production practice has shown, none of these devices allows achieving the result that production enterprises receive at VORTEXPROM CMD5 and VORTEXPROM CMD35 installations.
With the help of VORTEXPROM CMD5 and VORTEXPROM CMD35 installations, it is possible to grind florasulam in liquid and obtain particle sizes from 1 micron or less.
The production line based on the VORTEXPROM CMD5 and VORTEXPROM CMD35 installations has four main nodes:
1. A container with a mixing device.
2. An installation VORTEXPROM CMD5 or VORTEXPROM CMD35 (мthe model depends on the required productivity for the manufacturing enterprise).
3. A pump for circulation.
4. A container with ready-made product.
The production cycle is as follows: we pour water and SAS (surface-active substance) into a container with a mixing device. Next, we turn on the mixing device and the circulation pump, which drives the water around in a circle in a container with a mixing device. Next, we load the dry powder of florasulam into the container, wait for some time until the mixture becomes homogeneous, then from the circulation cycle we open the supply of this mixture to the VORTEXPROM CMD5 or VORTEXPROM CMD35 installation. The flow speed to the installation is regulated by a shut-off valve. For higher accuracy, you can install a flow meter before feeding the mixture to the installation.
The line is in operation at the factory ACC AGRO.
On the base of the VORTEXPROM CMD5 installation:

- maximum power, 25 kW/hour
- average power, 20 kW/hour
- output voltage to the reactor, 380+-20 V
- the current to the reactor, 180 A
- productivity of dry matter florasulam from 600 kg / day
The main advantage is the quality of the final grinding of florasulam to a fraction of less than 1 microns, and as a result — the highest quality of the final product (fertilizer) in comparison with competitors.
The second advantage is the energy efficiency of the grinding process. As they say, everything is known in comparison. For example, the bead mill is equipped with a 15-50 kW engine, the energy is directed to the rotation of the heavy rotor of this engine. Next, the shaft is driven, which transmits the driving force to the gearbox, then the gearbox rotates the basket with beads, and now the beads act directly on the crushed material. At each section, there are extremely high energy costs for energy transmission and not much of it reaches the material. How the process looks on VORTEXPROM CMD installations: all the energy spent on the grinding process acts directly on the working bodies of the VORTEXPROM CMD installation, and they, in turn, act directly on the crushed material. In this case, we have maximum energy efficiency. The third advantage is the cost of supplies. Beads are a very expensive material, and good beads are supplied only from abroad. In VORTEXPROM CMD installations SHX15 grade steel is used as grinding media/ This is an affordable material in Russia, besides it is one of the most wear-resistant steels used in the production of bearings. From the production practice of our customers, for 1 year of almost continuous operation of the unit, 800 grams of grinding media of the SHX15 brand were added to the reactor.
