Nowadays SSTU is a single educational, scientific and production complex, which includes departments, institutes, educational, scientific and research centers, laboratories.
The university has a modern technical base for conducting classes. Academic buildings and dormitories are located on the campus of the Technical University. The buildings of the SSTU buildings house classrooms, educational and scientific laboratories, display classes, a club, a sports hall, a library with a fund of about 2 million copies of books, periodicals, including in foreign languages.
The best graduates of the university who have shown special aptitudes for research activities, after graduating from the technical university, enter graduate school for the preparation of candidate dissertations. The final link in the system of training highly qualified scientific personnel is the doctoral program of SSTU. Its organization became possible largely due to the active scientific activity of the university's teaching staff from the very first days of its foundation to the present day.
